Jobs - My Dream Job

The four different jobs I chose were marketing/sales jobs in the Mobile, AL area. Most sales jobs have similar qualities they look for in a person. One of the main qualities they look for is someone who has work experience in sales. Most of these jobs would prefer you to have a few years of sales experience. Another big thing they look for is someone who has an outgoing personality and is energetic. I think something that most salesman need to have is self confidence. In my opinion, self confidence is one of the most important characteristics of a salesman. If someone has self confidence, they will feel more comfortable around people. This is really important because people with self confidence have the ability to walk in someone’s office and deliver a sale within 45 minutes. Some employers may have trouble seeing if a potential employee has self confidence, but some of the time, they can tell within 15 minutes of a job interview. There are certain questions that employers may ask that show the level of self confidence some has. These are the main things that employers look for when hiring someone to be a salesman.
I think I have a few different areas of major skills. I think the best thing going for me is my ability to work with people.  I have really good people skills and I know how to talk to people and bring good customer service to any business I work for. I think people skills, which is also known as human skills is one of the most important aspects in a person who is trying to succeed in the business world. People who know how to talk to people and know how to please them will go a long way. Also, one of my other main strengths is my work experience. I started working when I was 10 years for my dad. I was able to work because it was a family business and I was a big kid who could do manual labor. He taught me how to work hard and do things the right way. I have worked 6 or 7 different jobs in my life and I really think I have learned a lot from these jobs because they were all different, and I learned a lot of different stuff while working the jobs. Also, I am very familiar with Microsoft word, excel, and access. I have done several different projects using these different systems and I have learned how to master them. It is so important to be able to use Microsoft excel because a lot of projects in the business world are done using Microsoft excel.  I also have good leadership skills and I have been involved in a lot of different organizations on campus and have held executive positions in the organizations. I think this is a big asset for me because I have learned how to be an effective leader, manage people, and motivate them to do things.
The job that I want to pursue is the Director of Sales position at Fokker Airinc. I would love to have this position because it is a well paying job, and I have an interest in what the company does. I would love to get hired to be the Director of Sales for a company because you get the opportunity to be creative and help design marketing plans for the company. I really think I would fit the position well because I consider myself to be creative and I think I would be good at developing and instilling marketing plans and strategies. Honestly, this job would be hard to get right out of college, but everyone has to have goals, and it would it is a goal of mine to get a job similar to this at some company. I honestly believe I have what it takes to take a position like this and I have the work ethic and organizational skills to be in this position. I have attached a list of 4 different jobs that i have interest in. These are  4 different sales/marketing jobs in the Mobile, AL area. All of these jobs have recently been posted on Jobs.com
