To be honest, there aren’t too many pieces of reading that I have read in the College of Business. Business majors do not have to read a lot of articles or read books. There is one book that I had to read and it was called “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. This was one of the best books I have ever read in my life and it really gave me inspiration. The book talks about how to deal with people and influence them to believe the way you think. It teaches you how to be a good leader and how to deal with people. In my opinion, I think every business major in the world should be required to read it. The writer is discussing the issues of how to deal with people and how to train you to be a people’s person and how to be a successful, hard working leader. The topic raises issues to people who are socially awkward in the business world and need to learn how to be successful. The author of this book is Dale Carnegie. Dale Carnegie is one of the most successful authors and businessmen to ever live. He has written 6 books that are related to business and communication in business. Carnegie is firm believer in doing the right thing at all times, and he takes a different approach than most people in the business world. He think that the whenever you are in a position as a boss or manager, you should always ask people in a nice manner to do the task. He is never stern about the way he talks to people, and he always takes a laid back approach. His main target is salesman, managers, and executives in businesses all across the world. Carnegie takes a laid back approach in the book. The book is not intense, but it’s not too boring to read. Carnegie is full of wise words and wisdom. Throughout the book, he gives so many different tips that are helpful to businessmen and women everywhere. Carnegie is spreading his wise words of wisdom to all different types of people. Even though his main target is salesman and people in leadership positions, many different people read this book in order to try and better themselves as people. “How to Win Friends and Influence People” has been a top seller for yours. The book was first written in 1936, but it has been revised many times. I have read several books in my life, but this was by far the most inspirational book that I have ever read. I can’t wait to get out in the real world and try to use Carnegie’s techniques and tips. I have read reviews on this book and so many people said that this book has changed there life. Some salesman said that after reading this book, there cliental went up. They were more comfortable with talking to people, and mastered the art of selling their product.

Todd, this sounds like a really interesting book. You did a nice job giving an overview of the themes and discussing its value in a professional field.
